  • Neha Katyal and Merwin James won the Nagpur region round of Tata Crucible Quiz. IMT Nagpur created history by becoming the 3rd institute ever to have 3 teams on stage. And Neha Katyal became the first woman internationally to win the regional round more than once. The business quiz conducted by the Tata group saw a participation of more than 170 teams in the Nagpur region and more than 3000 teams internationally. The winners will now head for the national finals to be held in Mumbai in the thrid week of April. more details

  • Ankit Bhasin and Akhil Agrawal stood second in the business plan competition Radio FM held during Consortium at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) in January 2011. In the competition, the participants were required to bid for an FM channel and design its operations including place and RJs and design the marketing campaign thereafter, within the budget allocated.

  • A team of 26 students stood overall 2nd in the sports meet Athlos, organized by XIM, Bhubaneshwar. The other achievements in the sports meet included Throwball-1st, Basketball (girls)-1st, Table Tennis-2nd, Basketball (boys)-2nd, Volleyball-2nd and Football-2nd.

  • Sreeram Ramakrishnan and Gowri N Kishore presented the case "Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd. -Challenges of Change" at the International Case Conference 2010 conducted in November 2010 at Goa. The topic of the case study was organizational change and aftermaths of an M & A.

  • Abhishek Choudhary and Alok Paliwal stood third in the business proposal competition held during Fusion 2010 at IMT, Ghaziabad. They presented a business proposal for banking license for their Non-Banking Financial Corporation (acting as Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services).

  • Meenu Mynam stood first in the Essay Writing Competition organized by XIMB during their CSR Summit 2010. The topic for the essay was "Corporate Social Responsibility: An effective business strategy".

  • Swati Sinha won the Best Internship (HR) Competition-Tatva at the recently concluded management festival of IMT-Ghaziabad-Passion 2010. In the first round, her project titled "Studying Attrition and Suggesting Retention Models", successfully completed at Café Coffee Day, Pune, was shortlisted from more than 200 entries from all over the country, across several B- Schools. The second round consisted of the 5 finalists making their presentations to a jury comprised of HR professionals and veterans of the industry. Swati stood the winner among participants from institutes such as IMT-Ghaziabad, IIFT, BIMTECH etc.

  • Kishore Pathur presented a paper on 'Symbiotic Innovation: How to Create a Framework for Innovation Powered by Crowd and Leverage it for Business' at the International Conference and Colloquium held at IIM, Indore in September 2010. The conference was for researcher scholars, academics, PG students and industry researchers to showcase their research work that had significant impact. The paper shortlisted for presentation shows how innovation is a systemic process which can produce fantastic results when done properly.

  • IMT bags Tata Crucible Nagpur Round 
    Neha Katyal and Soumyajit Samanta won the Nagpur region round of Tata Crucible Quiz. It was a business quiz conducted by the Tata group, seeing a participation of more than 130 teams in the Nagpur region and more than 3000 teams internationally.   •  Richa Tibarewal and Neha Singh, pursuing PGDM from IMT Nagpur, presented a research paper at International Conference ITBI'09, organized by Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur. The title of the paper was "Implementation of VLE framework at IMT Nagpur". The students won the "Best Paper" award in the student's category in the conference. More Details

  • Abhinav Mangla, student PGDM programme presents research paper at International Conference GABERIC, affiliated to Florida's A&M University, USA in Bangkok, Thailand. The title of the paper was “Changing consumption pattern and its effect on emerging economies”. The student won the best paper award in the conference. More Details
  • Students Amit shah and Pranay chaudhry stood first in virtual stock market event in Coliseuin 2008, an annual B-school event hosted by IBS Chennai, held on 21st, 22nd August 2008.

  • The IMT Nagpur Team "Phronemos", consisting of Amit Motwani, Ankur Rastogi and Varsha Gupta participated successfully in SIBM B-School fest "Transcend - 2008" . They won third prize in Marketing event ' Barefoot Executive'. It was a two day event . On the first day, teams were asked to get qualifying leads for the consultancy firm "my jobsinpune.com". On the second day, teams were asked to sell any kind of product or service to earn maximum revenue out of the money earned before. The team "Phronemos" earned maximum profit. Also, Amit Motwani and Ankur Rastogi won the Best Online Entry in Advertising Event. Other participating B-Schools included IIM Indore, MDI Gurgaon, SIBM Pune, NITIE Mumbai and NMIMS Mumbai.

  • The Student Manager team from IMT Nagpur participated successfully in Annual Sports Fest 'Chakravyuh 2k 8' at IMT Ghaziabad and won one Gold Medal and one Silver Medal in various events. Other participating institutions included premier B-Schools from the country and partner B-Schools from abroad.
  • Mr. Saurbh Kumar Singh, 1st year PGDM student manager has won the research paper contest and his paper in the area of HRM titled ’Compensation Management' adjudged among the top six research papers at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune.

    The paper would be published in ‘PRAYAS’, the Annual Journal of SIBM, Pune.

  • IMT Nagpur Participated in B-school meet "Imperium 2007" of Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon. The team comprised of three student managers, Saket Kabra, Shruti Alang and Saikat Dam. The team qualified for prelim by submitting the paper on "Envision the future of logistics in India". This paper won the First Prize among all the B-schools. Finally eight teams were selected for the final round to be held at MDI campus itself. These were IIMA, MDI Gurgaon, XLRI, SCMHRD, NMIMS, XIMB and IMT Nagpur.

    In the final round the teams had to play a simulation game named "Connect OR" which was operations game. The game was a simulation game driven by Customer orders given by the game director. The teams had the objective of planning the production facility of a filter producing firm. At the same time, the team had to minimize cost and maximize profit and hence the enterprise value.

  • IMT Nagpur successfully participated in a National Management Fest "naissance 2007 " B-School an corporates organize by hosted of SDM Institute of Management Development, Mysore. The team won First Prize in the Operations game and Second prize in the Best Manager contest. 

    The team for the operations game comprised of Prashant Pathak, Saikat Dam, Amit Motwani and Piyush Agarwal. The game consisted of three stages. The first one was a operations quiz. The second round was a cost and time estimation game. The last and final round was a virtual Supply chain Management game. The team occupied First position throughout all the stages. The other participating institutes were XIMB, Alliance Business School, IIPM Bangalore, ICFAI Bangalore, Christ College Bangalore etc. 

    For the best manager game, Uday Bajoria was the sole participantes. He won the Second prize. It was a 10 round game thoroughly checking all the managerial skills of an individual. The participants were under surveillance for 48 hours. The other participants were IIM-K, XIMB, Alliance Business School, IIPM Bangalore, ICFAI B-School Bangalore etc.

  • The student manager team from IMT participated successfully in Annual Spots Fest 'Chakravyuh 2k 7' at IMT Ghaziabad and won one Gold Medal and Two Bronze Medals in various events. Other participating institution included IIMs and other premier B-School from various part of the country.

  • Team ‘Kaizer’, the IMT Nagpur team comprising of Amit Tyagi, Rishi Khanna and Vijayendra Agarwal has been shortlisted among the best 1500 teams across the globe (Total participating teams - 13000) to qualify for the Rounds 2-5 of L’Oreal estrat Challenge-6. At present the team is ranked ‘209th’ globally and ‘28th’ in Zone-8 beating thousands of teams including Kellogg School of Management, Wharton Business School, London Business School, IIM-A, IIM-B, IIM-C, IIM-L, IIM-K, FMS, SPJIMR, XLRI and many others .
     
  • IT is a strategy contest consisting of all functional areas of management like Marketing, Operations, Production , Finance& HR. Event took place between 10th -15th october in 3 rounds More than 1500 participants took part in the contest.

    The contest included corporate participants like Dell Computers, Infosys, Hindustan Lever, JP Morgan. In addition to that top B-Schools like IIMs, MDI, NITIE also took part in the contest and Rajshekar, from IMT Nagpur Secured 3rd position amongst all the participants, at the end of final round.

    Saurabh Sabharwal and Aparna Sharma won the First prize in Marketing Paper Presentation Competition held at Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), Chennai on 18th February, 2006. The event was named Chrysalis’ 06. 

    Overall 21 teams participated from different colleges namely IIFT, NITIE, NMIMS, XIME, BIM, Chryst College etc. Five teams entered the final round, two from NITIE, two from NMIMS and one from IMT- Nagpur. At the Rural Haat Contest the teams from IMT Nagpur won both the First Prize and Second Prize.The team comprising of Mitali Bhattacharya, Shraddha Jalan and Saurabh Singh won the 1st Prize, while the team of Saurabh Singhal, Vasu, and Dwipa Shah won the 2nd Prize respectively.
     
  • The team of Mr. Amit Tyagi and Mr. Harsh Pandey won the First Prize in the marketing vertical at “Shastrarth”, Paper Writing Contest at Intaglio 2005, the International B-School meet at IIM Calcutta.The theme was “Malls or Mandis”. Other participating Institutions include Harvard Business School, Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, Kellog School of Management, Tuck School of Business, Chicago GSB, National University of Singapore, LUMS (Pakistan), AIT (Thailand), and University of Melbourne, Australia apart from the top B-School from the Country.
     
  • The team of Mr. Amit Tyagi and Mr. Harsh Pandey won the Second Prize in the marketing vertical at “Paragana 2005”, Annual National Paper Writing Contest at Narsee Monjee Institute Of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai.The theme was “India Evolving-A Montage Of Promises”.
     
  • The team of Mr. Amit Tyagi and Mr. Harsh Pandey won the 2nd prize at the Paper Presentation Contest on the theme “Opportunities for Corporate India at the Bottom of the Pyramid.”
     
  • In the first year itself students started mobilizing their presence across events like AIMA’s Annual Management Convention 2004 and its simulation games as well. But that was just the start.

    Come year 2005, just after returning from their success stories in summer internship across organizations in India, their potential started unfolding….layer by layer

    The research paper written by Mr. Amit Tyagi on the theme “Best of the Best: Spirit of the Challenger” was selected among the best 12 entries across the Nation at the 2nd National Paper Writing Contest organized by All India Management Association (AIMA). The student was invited to AIMA’s Management House, New Delhi to present his views on the theme.
