Missile to Eternity/Heaven

Representing the millions of Indian aspirations, student managers of Institute of Management Technology Nagpur gathered to offer a tribute in the memory of Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen (A.P.J.) Abdul Kalam, the teacher of India. Former President, the 'Missile Man' who came to be known as 'People's President' died on Monday (July 27th) while delivering a lecture at IIM Shillong. In honour and memory of the legendary visionary, the National Centre of Corporate Governance organized a candle light march on 30th July. The procession was initiated by Student Head of CCiz, Mr. M. Seshank, lighting the first candle near the Faculty Block. The procession marched further, with many students joining midway, and ended at the Sunshine Gate where everyone observed two minutes of silence in homage to Dr. Kalam. At the venue, Rachna Verma delivered a speech stating about Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam's glory and the closing speech was delivered by Dr. Abhishek Narain Singh who spoke about being a good human being irrespective of heights we attain in life. He then thanked the other Faculty members, the students, and the extended family of IMT-N for showing immense support. After the candles were put, many stayed back to pen down their feelings and paid salutation to the person who has transformed the Nation.
