TEDxIMTN | Decoding Mirages
31st January, 2016 | 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
LRC Auditorium | Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur

TED is a non-profit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). Today, TED is amongst the world's best recognized conferences that sees speakers spread ideas covering almost every discipline, from Science to Business to Global issues and Philosophy, in over 100 languages. The sole purpose remains to share "Ideas worth Spreading" that have the potential to change lives, communities and ultimately the world. TED has previously seen several eminent speakers including Bill Clinton, Jane Goodall, Al Gore, Bill Gates, Bono, Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and many Nobel Prize winners deliver inspiring talks, which have remained alive long after the close of the conference. TEDx is an independently organized TED-like event held at a local level. In the spirit of "Ideas worth Spreading", TEDx aims to bring together a community to share a TED-like experience. Though independently organized, this event stays true to the spirit of TED while working under official license and guidelines sent by TED.

Being a premier B-school, Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur is home to a community of some of the brightest minds of the country today, who are both thinkers and doers. The theme for TEDxIMTN is "Decoding Mirages", a reflection of both ends of any spectrum while encompassing everything in between. Do Mirages really exist? Can you decode something that may not even be real, forget quantifiable! We're hoping this TEDx we'll chance upon an Idea - an argument, a statement made in passing or even an afterthought - that will help us Decode our Mirages, while simultaneously leaving an imprint on the global TEDx community. The event is being conducted under the guidance of Professor Hanish Rajpal, Faculty in charge, under the overall supervision and guidance of Dr Subhajit Bhattacharya, Director - IMT Nagpur.
