Placement Committee

The Entrepreneurship Cell of IMT, Nagpur aims at fostering creative thinking and nurturing entrepreneurial instincts among students. The Cell hopes to achieve this by conducting workshops, competitions, and interactive sessions with eminent personalities who are role models for personal growth and business development.

Vision:

To imbibe the spirit of entrepreneurship among student managers and assist them in realizing their ideas.

Mission:

Our mission is to create an environment that would ignite ideas on innovation and creative thinking; to cultivate an entrepreneurship culture and to reach out to a larger audience in both academia and industry.

The events conducted by the Entrepreneurship Cell are-

Avsar: An Intra College B-Plan Competition

Avsar is a platform for students to showcase their innovative business ideas and compete with their peers, fostering entrepreneurial thinking and strategic planning within the campus.

Voyage: The Startup Internship Fair

Voyage is more than an event—it’s a gateway for student managers to gain hands-on experience and build meaningful industry connections. This event is organized in collaboration with the Placement Committee to connect students with leading start-ups, offering valuable internships that provide real-world business exposure.

Voyage’24 spanned four days, featuring 35+ start-ups and facilitating the recruitment of 95+ interns. Beyond internships, it provided a platform for students to engage with founders and co-founders, gaining insights from industry leaders. Some of the notable startups included Get-A-Way, Peppermint Robotics, Velbiom Probiotics, Money Tree, etc.

Pantheon: An Annual Entrepreneurship Summit

Pantheon, organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell of IMT Nagpur, is a flagship event comprising the following five sub-events:

  1. Inspi-ro: This event aims to inspire and guide aspiring entrepreneurs. In this edition, Mr. Shashikant Chaudhary shared his expertise on building and scaling start-ups, offering practical insights on overcoming challenges, achieving milestones, and creating sustainable businesses.

 

  1. Launchpad: This session educated aspiring student entrepreneurs about schemes and initiatives supporting their ventures, including funding, mentorship, and incubator access. Mr. Subhash Ingewar, Assistant Director of MSME, provided valuable insights, empowering participants to leverage these opportunities for entrepreneurial growth.

 

  1. Seed to Scale: This panel discussion featured Dr. Ashutosh Bagade from Bionest Incubator and Dr. Sandip Khedkar from the Incubation Cell at YCCE Nagpur. They discussed the crucial role of incubators in supporting startups through mentorship, funding, and infrastructure.

 

  1. Venture Verse: A Startup Simulation Challenge: This entrepreneurial simulation challenged participants to build a startup in a newly formed nation with unique economic conditions and socio-political scenarios. Teams adapted their strategies to navigate these dynamics, testing their entrepreneurial skills in a competitive environment.

 

  1. Aarambh: A National Level B-Plan Competition: Aarambh allows aspiring entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative business ideas. It challenges participants to develop comprehensive business plans, demonstrating strategic vision, market analysis, and financial viability. The event fosters creativity, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial spirit, empowering participants to transform their ideas into successful ventures.
