Professor, Economics and General Management, Area; Chairperson-Centers of Excellence for Sustainability, Growth and Development.

Dr Gajavelli V. S. is a Professor of Economics & General Management and Head of the Centre of Excellence for Sustainability Growth and Development(CSGD) at IMT Nagpur. Known for his expertise in applying economic principles to business strategies, he has been an influential force in shaping the academic experiences of PGDM students, particularly in courses on business economics, market dynamics, and business& financial intelligence.

Dr Gajavelli holds a strong academic foundation, having completed his doctoral studies in Economics: Management of Ecological Resources from Hyderabad Central University(HCU) and a university topper and Gold Medalist in his Post-Graduation and various certifications in advanced business analytics and strategy to his credit. He is trained in Participant-Centered Learning & Case Method Craft (PCL) at Harvard Business School, Boston and in Teaching Methodologies & Case Writing by Richard Ivey and Stockholm Schools.

His innovative teaching strategies and commitment to bridging economic theory with practical business applications have been widely recognised, making him a sought-after mentor and guide in the management education field.

With over two and a half decades of experience, Dr. Gajavelli has mentored management teachers and corporate executives and published on topics such as sustainability, growth dynamics, and market economics. He has been invited to speak at numerous industry forums and academic conferences both in India and abroad, and his research contributions continue to impact both the corporate and academic spheres. His work embodies a vision of developing forward-thinking, socially responsible business leaders who are prepared to shape a sustainable future.
